Brittany L. Brewer has been awarded an Air Force ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) college scholarship. The cadet was selected on the basis of comprehensive tests scores, high school scholastic achievement, school officials' evaluations, extra-curricular activities and community involvement. Brewer is the daughter of Linda J. and stepdaughter of Blaine D. Ross of Fairfax. She is a 2003 graduate of James W. Robinson Secondary School, Fairfax.
Jessica L. Honan, daughter of Nancy C. and Stephen E. Honan of Fairfax, recently participated in the U.S. Naval Academy's week-long summer seminar program in Annapolis, Md. During the program, Honan was introduced to academy life through a regimen of academics, physical training, intramural sports, sailing and seamanship, as well as leadership training and social activities. Honan is currently attending Woodson High School.
Coast Guard Cadet Ian J. Mulcahy, son of Michelle M.
Mulcahy of Fairfax, recently enrolled as a cadet at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Conn. Mulcahy is a 2003 graduate of Robinson High School of Fairfax.
