12th Annual Canine Games at Chinquapin Park, 3210 King St., Alexandria. Twenty different games for dogs, vendors, displays, food and music. The pre-registration fee is $20 per dog; on-site registration is $25 per dog. All dogs must have current rabies vaccination. The first 400 pre-registrants will receive a t-shirt and doggie bag. Grandparents’ Day at Woodlawn has been designated to honor grandparents and encourage interaction between generations. To celebrate the event, all grandchildren of school age will receive free admission when they visit with their grandparent(s).Woodlawn, 9000 Richmond Highway, three miles west of Mount Vernon, will provide kid-friendly tours of the 1805 mansion, as well as activities which can be done by old and young alike, together. Putting Youth First Miniature Golf Tournament. Bryant Alternative High School and United Community Ministries will be hosting a round of miniature golf at the Mid-Atlantic Golf Center at Kingstowne, 6625 S. Van Dorn St., Alexandria.
