The Shepherd's Center of Oakton-Vienna announces an open house and registration for the spring term to be held April 10, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at their new location, the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 344 Courthouse Road, Vienna. A new booklet of daily devotionals written for the Lenten season by members of the congregation has been published by The Church of the Good Shepherd, a United Methodist church located at 2351 Hunter Mill Road, Vienna. The booklet begins with an Ash Wednesday (March 5) devotional and includes a special message from a different member for each day through Easter, which falls on April 20 this year. It marks the fourth year the church has published a Lenten booklet. As in previous years, the 2003 booklet will be mailed to 25,000 neighboring households and distributed to various ministries supported by the church. The booklet also will be available on the church’s Web site at www.GoodShepherdVA.com.

St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church will celebrate Palm Sunday on April 13 at 8:15 and 10:15 a.m. with services and music to mark the beginning of Holy Week. Children are welcome in the Sunday School program and a children's nursery is also available. Both services include Eucharist.
Holy Week continues with a Christian Passover Supper on Maundy Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m. and celebration of Eucharist at 8 p.m.
On Good Friday, April 18, there will be meditation at 12 p.m. and Stations of the Cross at 1 p.m. In the evening there will be an Experiential Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m.
On Easter Sunday, April 20, worship services will include the St. Dunstan's Choirs at both services. Children are welcome in the worship, but activities will be available for young children and a nursery will be available during the 10:15 a.m. service.

On April 13, Palm Sunday, the worship services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. will commemorate Jesus' entry into Jerusalem with the distribution of palms.
On April 17, Maundy Thursday, an 11 a.m. worship service will offer communion in remembrance of the Last Supper. The 7:30 p.m. service will explore Jesus' teachings of love and service with prayer and contemplation. The altar will be stripped in preparation for Good Friday.
On April 18, Good Friday, a 10 a.m. children's service will tell the story of Jesus' betrayal and suffering on the cross in a way that children will understand. The 7:30 p.m. candlelight service will provide an opportunity reflect on Christ's final hours.
On April 20, Easter Sunday, a 7 a.m. sunrise service celebrates the new day as a symbol of Christ's resurrection. 8:30 and 11 a.m. services feature the choir and musicians.
