Several sales associates from Weichert, Realtors' Centreville/Clifton office have been honored for their achievements in September:
* Bob Graham was honored as the office's top producer with the most resale revenue units and the highest dollar volume. He was also recognized as the top sales associate.
* Ernest Lewis was honored for generating the most listings;
* Lisa Clayborne was honored for generating the most listings sold.
Century 21 New Millennium of Centreville is conducting a coat drive for needy people in the community. Beginning Friday, Nov. 1, drop off your new or used coats in good condition to the office, located at 5109 Westfields Blvd., Centreville. New hats and gloves would also be appreciated.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is breaking records this year as the company continues to experience increased sales as noted in September 2002 figures compared to last year's numbers for the same month. The residential sales division of the company had increased total sales volume of 33 percent and increased total sales of 14 percent compared to the same figures in September 2001.
"Because of the current low interest rates, and historically September was one of the lowest, buyers are finding exactly what they want for the right price," said Thomas M. Stevens, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
Nathan Booth, CIPS, of Alexandria was installed as the 2003 president-elect of the Virginia Association of Realtors at the group's annual Convention on Oct. 12 in Williamsburg. Booth is a sales associate for ERA Executive Realty in Falls Church and a member of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR). In 2000, he was selected Realtor of the Year by the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, and was president of NVAR in 1999.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced significant increases for September 2002 across the board in total sales, total sales volume and total listings for several of its Virginia offices.
* Mark Goedde, manager of the Fairfax Station office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced total sales increased 90 percent, total sales volume increased 191 percent and total listings increased 90 percent in comparison to the same figures in September 2001.
* Barbara Aaron, Manager of the Reston Town Center office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced total sales increased 15 percent, total sales volume increased 43 percent and total listings increased 92 percent in comparison to the same figures in September 2001.
Overall, the residential sales division of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage increased total sales volume by 33 percent and increased total sales by 14 percent during September 2002 in comparison to the same figures for September 2001.
Long & Foster Real Estate announces its $125,000 Scholarship Program for well-rounded graduating high school seniors entering an accredited four-year college or university. The Long & Foster Scholarship Program will award $1,000 to each of 125 worthy recipients throughout the five-state region for the 2003-2004 academic year. The scholarship award will be made payable directly to the college or university in the student's name. The deadline for applying is March 3, 2003, and the scholarships will be awarded beginning May 1, 2003. Eligible high school seniors must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, demonstrate financial need, indicate positions of leadership they held while a student, and describe in which school groups they have been involved, community organizations in which they have served, and whether they have held a part-time job while in school, to be considered well-rounded applicants.

Virginia REALTORS has launched a new Web site at www.VARealtor.com. It provides information for brokers, agents, specialty practitioners, association leaders and local Realtor associations. There is also a marketplace area for links to home buying- or selling-related services, and a news area with statistics on home sales for the state. The site includes information for foreign-language-speaking Realtors, properties for sale and rent, a directory of Realtors and commercial property information.
