The Loudoun County Department of Social Services Career Support Services Unit will sponsor a five-day workshop, Oct. 21-25, from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., each day.
The workshop is designed to help participants develop creative job search techniques; understand and utilize networking; and enhance interview skills. Students will learn how to do a creative job search; how to network; how to fill out a job application accurately; how to sell themselves on an interview; and how to market themselves on a resume and more.

The Loudoun Convention and Visitors Association (LCVA) has launched a new fall campaign, “Lucky You, You Life in Loudoun County.” The aim is to education Loudoun citizens on the services provided by the LCVA.
The new Visitor Center, 222 Catoctin Circle, SE in Leesburg, can assist with family reunions, weddings and other celebrations, as well as help plan itineraries and give directions.
A community outreach program at the center, from Oct. 16-27, also offers residents the opportunity to win prizes. Visit the center from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., daily. The center will be open until 7 p.m. on Oct. 17, 22 and 23.

A continuing series of public policy discussions covering federal, state and local government issues is being sponsored by the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership’s Division of International Trade will be hosting a delegation from Brazil’s information technology industry. The Brazilian delegation is in search of goods and services, as well as representation rights.

Dave and Kathy Olson have joined Long and Foster as realtors in the Ashburn office.
