For 15 years now, Chantilly has put on the annual "Holiday Spectacular" around the Christmas season. This program features drama students, as well as band, choir, and orchestra students. Chantilly brings together all the performing art students to put on a show with Christmas medleys, performances from Disney movies, and the classic Christmas tales such as "The Grinch" and "T'was the Night Before Christmas." The music students play the music, the choir sings the songs, and the drama department dances and acts to the songs.
Also performed is a 45-minute version of "Holiday Spectacular" called "Tiny Tots." This sold-out show is performed four times during the day to approximately 2,200 preschoolers. The children also get to meet many of the characters from the show out in front of the school.
This year's dates for "Tiny Tots" and "Holiday Spectacular" are:
* "Tiny Tots" on Dec. 11, snow date Dec. 12.
* "Holiday Spectacular" on Dec. 17-18, snow dates Dec. 19-20.
"Holiday Spectacular" is filled with the songs that everyone can sing along to, well-known characters, and, of course, the main guy himself, Santa Claus.
