<cal1>MALICIOUS WOUNDING
<cal2>Commerce St. 7000 block - A Springfield area man, 21, was leaving the Super Mart as a group of men drove by in a small, red car. One man stuck a gun out of one of the car's windows and shot the victim in the face. The victim was medevaced to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
<cal1>ROBBERY
<cal2>Hagel Circle 9600 block - A Springfield area man, 38, employed as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut, was returning to his car after making a delivery when a man came out of the bushes and struck him in the face. The man held the victim to the ground while a second man kicked the victim in the head. A third man rifled through the victim's pockets and took a cellular telephone before the three ran away. The victim was bruised and bleeding, but refused medical treatment.
<cal1>SEXUAL ASSAULT ARREST
<cal2>Springfield Mall 6500 block - An 8-year-old girl was playing in the castle area at Planet Play Arcade when an employee coaxed her to a secluded area, exposed himself to her and had her touch his genitals. The girl immediately told her mother, who notified Springfield Mall security, who, in turn, called police. Craig Mabe, 18, of Telegraph Road in the Kingstowne area was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery.
