Herndon: 'No'; Reston: 'Maybe'

In Herndon, the mayor, a majority of the Town Council and the Herndon-Dulles Chamber of Commerce voted to endorse the Transportation Sales Tax Referendum. Nonetheless, on Nov. 5, from Floris to Fox Mill and Herndon to Hutchison, all nine local Herndon precincts voted "no" on the referendum.

In Reston, the Reston Association and the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce endorsed the Sales Tax Referendum. On Election Day, eight out of 13 Reston precincts, bucked the regional trends, and voted "yes" for the failed referendum.
