Broadway star Donna McKechnie paid a visit to the cast and production team of The Musical Theater Center in Rockville. McKechnie, in town performing her cabaret act, won the Tony Award for “A Chorus Line.” Students at the Center will perform the musical at F. YouTHeater, presented by Potomac Theatre Company, is offering a three week, 5-day-a-week session for young actors, singers and dancers ages 8-12. "Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr." will provide an opportunity for young people interested in theater to learn from professionals over the summer vacation, from June 24-July 12. The Montgomery County Black Police Officers Foundation will host a Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Hampshire Greens Gold Course in Silver Spring on June 17.
