Kevin Hebbe, son of John and Carol Hebbe of Fairfax Station, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2001 semester at James Madison University. He is a junior, majoring in media arts and design. He is a 1999 graduate of Woodson High School.

Steven Muskat of Fairfax Station received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, graduating w/honors from Bowling Green State University during spring comencement, May 10-11.

Alan G. Young of Burke has received a master of science degree in marriage and family therapy from Virginia Tech. In 1978 he earned a master of arts at Cornell University, and in 1973 he earned a bachelor of arts degree at Loyola University.

Karl Richardson of Burke has won a Guy T. Carswell Scholarship from Wake Forest University. He is the son of Susan and Kendall Richardson of Burke and will be a 2002 graduate of Centreville High School.

Atul Batra and Alejandro Jerez, both of Burke, and both students at the Annandale Campus of Northern Virginia Community College, have been named to the 2002 edition of Who's Who in American Junior Colleges. Batra is studying business administration. Jerez is studying computer science.

Stephanie M. Dotterrer, a sophomore at Oregon State University, has earned placement on the scholastic honor roll for the winter term.

Matthew Peters, son of William and Lynn Adcock of Burke, recently participated in the first Scholarship Competition at Lynchburg College. He is a senior at Lake Braddock Secondary School.

Paul L. E. Grieco of Fairfax Station has been elected to the Alpha of Virginia chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at the College of William and Mary and will be inducted into the society in a ceremony on May 10. He is a senior majoring in international relations and economics.
