Bryan College of Dayton, Tenn., recently honored Celeste Stanly with the M.A. Cooley Memorial Music Scholarship, given to a student with special musical ability, at the college’s recent Honors Day program. Stanly is the daughter of Bruce and Nancy Stanly of Springfield.
Rachael A. Kaplan, a resident of Springfield, has recently been named to the dean's list at Boston University for the fall semester.
Ben Cavanaugh, a junior at Lawrence University, is spending the 2002 spring academic term studying at the Lawrence London Center. The 10-week program emphasizes British culture and history through field trips to local museums, concert halls and theaters as well as weekend excursions to the English countryside and the European mainland. A 1999 graduate of Gonzaga College High School, Cavanaugh is the son of Katherine Koenig of Springfield and David Cavanaugh of Alexandria.
