Canoes will depart from and return to the marina shore, gliding along Bull Run, through the Occoquan Reservoir. <cal2>In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, many quilts were tucked in among the thousands of gifts and letters of support sent to the building. At least 16 of these treasured Pentagon Quilts will be on display for the first time to the public during the Quilters Unlimited 29th Annual Quilt Show.

Quilters Unlimited will hold its Annual Quilt Show on May 10-12 at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly. There will be 70 vendors offering thousands of quilt-related items, such as books, fabric, patterns, antique quilts, quilt hangers, etc. Some 600 quilted items will be on display for viewing purposes only. There will be a silent auction, bazaar and raffle quilt. Hours are Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $5/one-day pass or $10/three-day pass. <cal2>A War of 1812 Militia Muster will be held Saturday, May 11 from noon to 4 p.m. at Sully Historic Site in Chantilly. Musters were traditionally a time for socializing — observe a military drill, hear period music, see a puppet show, play lawn bowls, learn about work and leisure in the Federal period and what foods the enslaved cooks at Sully would prepare for picnics. The Lane's Mill Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will meet on Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. at the Centreville Regional Library.
