<cal1>ABDUCTION
<cal2>Herndon Parkway/Crestview Drive - A 23-year-old Herndon man was arrested after police investigated into allegations that he abducted a 27-year-old female acquaintance while they were driving in the suspect's vehicle. Investigation revealed that the man had taken the woman for a drive, and that he became upset during a conversation. During the incident, the suspect allegedly would not let the woman out of the car, intentionally drove his vehicle into a pickup truck parked on the roadway and took the woman's cellular telephone from her when she tried to call for help. Jose Nelson Guzman was charged with abduction and grand larceny, as well as driving on a suspended license, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. The pickup truck that was struck had damage to the left front bumper and headlights. The woman was upset, but not seriously injured during the incident.
<cal1>ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING
<cal2>Alabama Drive 1000 block - A 26-year-old Herndon man was arrested after police responded to a report of possible gunfire. Investigation revealed that the suspect had been followed to the parking lot of an apartment complex by several suspected gang members. The suspect had a handgun in his possession, and fired it once in the direction of the suspected gang members, but none of them were hit. Police officers investigating the case recovered a handgun, and charged Wilber A. Zelaya with attempted malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in the omission of a felony. Zelaya was held at the Fairfax County ADC with no bond.
<cal1>DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
<cal2>Alabama Drive 1100 block - An unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on the outside of the portable toilets. Damage was estimated at $50.
Cordell Way 700 block - An unknown suspect smashed the rear sliding door at the victim's home with a rock. The door was valued at $300.
<cal1>DRINKING IN PUBLIC
<cal2>Elden Street 1100 block - A subject was observed drinking alcoholic beverage from a bottle in a paper bag. Pedro Antonio Castillo, a 30-year-old man of Reston, was charged with drinking in public, and released on a summons.
<cal1>DRUNK IN PUBLIC
<cal2>Lynn Street/Elden Street - Lisandro Portillo, a 47-year-old man of Herndon.
Elden Street 1200 block - Pedro Antonio Castillo, a 30-year-old man of Reston.
Elden Street 1200 block - Juan Luis Cerritos Rosa, a 33-year-old man of Herndon.
Center Street 600 block - Dolors Otero Henriquez, 28, of Herndon, and Jose Gerberti-Henriquez Henriquez, 24, also of Herndon, were arrested.

<cal2>Sterling Road 1100 block - Nazario Antele Xolio, a 35-year-old man of Greenville, NC.
Elden Street/Worldgate Drive - David William Anchor, a 48-year-old man of Herndon.
Elden Street 400 block - Jose L. Solis Chicas, a 23-year-old man of Springfield.
Van Buren Street 700 block - Juan Carlos Gomez, a 32-year-old man of Herndon.
Elden Street 1100 block - Jose Argueta Pineda, a 34-year-old man of Herndon.
Dranesville Road 800 block - Erik Alexander Ulsaker, a 20-year-old man of Herndon.
Dulles Park Court 600 block - Neftali Sandres Garcia, a 28-year-old man of Newton, NC.
<cal1>HIT AND RUN
<cal2>Cordell Way 700 block - A parked vehicle was struck by a hit and run driver. Damage was estimated at $800.
Elden Street 1200 block - A parked vehicle was struck by a hit and run driver. Damage was estimated at $300.
Elden Street 100 block - A parked vehicle was struck by a hit and run driver. Damage was estimated at $800.
Dranesville Road/Herndon Parkway - A vehicle stopped in traffic was struck by a hit and run driver. There was one injury, and damage was estimated at $200.
<cal1>ILLEGAL DUMPING
<cal2>Branch Drive 900 block - Two men were observed dumping air conditioning parts from their commercial air conditioning van into the stream behind Branch Drive. The suspects were gone upon police arrival, but the investigation is continuing.
<cal1>LARCENIES
<cal2>Elden Street 1100 block - An unknown man was arrested after he left the convenience store with beer valued at $12.95, and then began to break bottles in front of the store. The subject was charged with larceny and drunk in public, but would not provide information as to his identity. The man was held at the Fairfax County ADC.
Elden Street 300 block - Four unknown male subjects were in the hotel pool, but were not residents at the hotel. When confronted about this, the subjects ran and removed towels and a box of candy from the hotel lobby. The stolen items were valued at $90.
Station Street 800 block - An unknown suspect took the victim's wallet that was left unattended while the victim shopped at the store. The wallet contained cash and identification.
Park Avenue 900 block - An unknown suspect removed the victim's tools from his storage shed. The stolen items were valued at $600.
Park Avenue 1000 block - An unknown suspect gained entry to the victim's vehicle by breaking a window. The suspect removed a CD changer, and a duffle bag that contained clothing, all valued at $250.
Ballou Street 800 block - An unknown suspect entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and removed beer from a cooler, a stereo faceplate, and ransacked the glove box. The stolen items were valued at $205.
Cavalier Drive 1000 block - An unknown suspect gained entry to the victim's vehicle by breaking a window. The suspect removed a stereo and speakers, valued at $600.

<cal2>Elden Street 800 block - Two vehicles, no injury, charges: fail to keep to the right of the roadway, damages: $2,000.
Elden Street 1200 block - Two vehicles, no injury, charges: fail to yield the right of way, damages: $2,100.
Lynn Street 700 block - Two vehicles, no injury, charges: none, damages $850.
Elden Street 500 block - Two vehicles, no injury, charges: fail to yield the right of way, damages: $4,500.
Park Avenue 700 block - Two vehicles, no injury, charges: following too closely, damages: $2,500.
Herndon Parkway/Elden Street - Two vehicles, no injury, charges: none, damages: $1,000.
Dranesville Road/Herndon Parkway - Two vehicles, one injury, charges: none, damages: $100.
<cal1>URINATING IN PUBLIC
<cal2>Elden Street 1100 block - A police officer was investigating a subject drinking from a bottle in a paper bag when he noticed another subject urinating against the building. Miguel Angel Barona Rivera, a 24-year-old man of Herndon, was charged with urinating in public, and released on a summons.
