<lst>The following incidents were reported by the Herndon Police Department:
<cal1>MALICIOUS WOUNDING
<cal2>700 block Palmer Drive - A 19-year old male and a 45-year-old male were shot while attempting to stop two unknown males from stealing a vehicle. Investigation pending.
<cal1>ROBBERY
<cal2>500 block Florida Avenue - A 23-year-old man was approached by two white males who punched him in the stomach and demanded his money. The victim reported to the police the suspects brandished a handgun and knife while they removed his money from his wallet. The victim received minor injuries.
100 block Laurel Way - A 31-year-old female was approached by an unknown black male who attempted to raise her shirt and then punched her in the face. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect took her watch and gold bracelet. No weapons were displayed. The victim received minor injuries.
100 block Laurel Way - A 23-year-old man and a 25-year-old female were approached by three unknown white males. The victims reported to police that the suspects demanded their money at gunpoint while they took the 23-year-old victim's wallet. The victims received no injuries.
<cal1>ASSAULT
<cal2>1000 block Elden Street - A 30-year-old female and a 35-year-old male were assaulted by two unknown white males. When the victims attempted to leave the area the suspects damaged their vehicle with a rock. The victims received no injuries.
1200 block Elden Street - A 34-year-old male reported that an acquaintance whom he knew to be trespassing assaulted him when he tried to detain the suspect while waiting for the police. Elias Ayala, 26, of Herndon, was charged with public drunkeness, trespassing, and assault. He was transported to the Fairfax Adult Detention Center and released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
800 block Ferndale Avenue - A 25-year-old woman reported that she has a protective order against her ex-boyfriend who forced his way into her home and then her car when the victim tried to take her daughter to daycare. When police arrived on scene, the suspect attempted to flee, resisted arrest, and assaulted a police officer. Andre Tucker, 27, of Herndon, was arrested for assault on a police officer, 2 accounts of abduction, obstruction of justice, and violation of a protective order. Tucker is being held at the Fairfax Adult Detention Center with no bond.
1100 block Burwick Drive - A 44-year-old female, a 16-year-old female, and a 12-year-old male reported that they had been assaulted. Wayde West, 43, of Herndon, was charged with three counts of assault and an emergency protective order was issued. He was transported to Fairfax Adult Detention Center. The victims received minor injuries.
<cal1>DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
<cal2>1100 block Grant Street - Three tires were sliced. Damage is estimated at $210.
1100 block Freshrain Court - A fence and some sod were damaged at a residence. Damage estimated at $10.
<cal1>DRUG/NARCOTICS VIOLATION
<cal2>700 block Lynn Street - Giovanni Alvarez, 19, of Herndon, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
<cal1>DRUNK IN PUBLIC ARREST
<cal2>1000 block Elden Street - Walter Meija, 25, of no fixed address.

Brian Heselton, 21, of Herndon.
<cal1>DWI ARRESTS
<cal2>Vine Street/Ferndale Avenue - Carlos Ventura, 24, of Herndon, arrested for driving on a suspended license, DUI-related.
800 block Dranesville Road - Timothy Stone, 39, of Reston.
<cal1>HIT AND RUN
<cal2>900 block Sterling Court - A hit-and-run driver struck a parked vehicle. No injuries, damage $100, charges pending.
1100 block Elden Street - A hit-and-run driver struck a parked vehicle. No injuries, damage $2,000, charges pending.
700 block Tamarack Way - A hit-and-run driver struck a parked vehicle. No injuries, damage $100, charges pending.

<cal2>500 block Florida Avenue - A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.
1000 block Elden Street - A comforter was stolen from a dryer.
1000 block Elden Street - George Allen, 41, of Reston was charged with petit larceny after removing a 12-pack of beer from a store without paying for the merchandise. He was transported to Fairfax Adult Detention Center and held on a $1,000 secured bond.
400 block Elden Street - A bicycle was stolen from outside a business.
1000 block Elden Street - A car stereo was stolen from a vehicle.
1100 block Elden Street - Two females left a restaurant without paying.
500 block Elden Street - A driver stole gas from a gas station.
200 block Elden Street - An unknown person removed a person from a business.
100 block Laurel Way - A bicycle was stolen from a bike rack.
700 block Tamarack Way - A license plate was removed from a vehicle.
1200 block Old Heights Road - Money was stolen from a vending machine.
900 block Ferndale Avenue - Golf clubs and a golf bag were stolen from outside a business.
1100 block Monroe Street - Money was stolen from a vending machine.
700 block Jenny Ann Court - A book bag was stolen from a vehicle.
<cal1>TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
<cal2>1100 block Bicksler Drive - A driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a house. No injuries, damage $9,000.
500 block Herndon Pkwy. - Two vehicles, no injuries, damage $6,000, charged with failure to pay attention.
2100 block Highcourt Lane - A vehicle backing up hit a 5-year-old pedestrian who walked behind the vehicle. One injury.
300 block Elden Street - Two vehicles, no injuries, damage $2700.
200 block Spring Street - Two vehicles, two injuries, damage $4000.
