* New Adult Bible Study this Fall. A 34-week study program, following the "Disciple: Becoming Disciples through Bible Study" approach, will emphasize disciplined reading of and listening to Scripture encompassing 70 percent of the Bible. News From Christ the Redeemer —
Children’s Music Camp — The Music Camp for children who are rising second-graders and older, will be held July 29-Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Compton Village Community Center in Centreville. This year’s camp will perform “The Rock Slinger and His Greatest Hit,” a musical drama based on the story of David and Goliath. The performance will be Sunday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m., at Centreville Elementary. The camp will be a chance for your children to participate in music, acting, and crafts. Six Flags Theme Park — Children’s and Youth Ministries are hosting a Family Day on Saturday, Aug. 17 at Six Flags Theme Park. The cost is $25/person (includes admission, dinner voucher and transportation). A bus will be chartered for the all-day event. Registration deadline is Sunday, Aug. 11. Permission slips are required. * The Great Escape. Rising 7th-9th graders will join hundreds of other youths at DeSales University, Pa., for music, speakers, huge group games and white-water rafting. Cost: $269.
* Celebrate America! Lively Arts Week, Aug. 5-9, from 9 a.m.-12 noon. First- through sixth-graders will learn upbeat music, dance and drama, culminating in patriotic musical performance on Aug. 9, 7:30 p.m. Cost: $25. Register by July 29.
* Planet 56 Adventure Week, Aug. 12-16, from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Rising 5th-7th graders will venture out on exciting field trips. Cost: $80, for transportation, events admissions, and food. Register by Aug. 5.

The Leavening Agency returns to Centreville Baptist Church to conduct a camp for the performing arts. It will be held Aug. 5-9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for rising second- through sixth-graders. Children will learn music, performance skills, choreography and stagecraft. The grand finale will be a Friday evening performance of a musical starring the entire cast and crew!
