Fifty-nine year old Christopher Pagent, Sr., of Alexandria, was killed Sunday following a head-on crash in the Fort Hunt area.
Fairfax County police said that Chet Hepburn, 56, of Arlington, was driving a 1990 Volvo north on Fort Hunt Road. As he approached Belle View Boulevard, he crossed the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic. Pagent was driving south when his 1997 Saturn collided with the Volvo.
Pagent was taken to Inova Mount Vernon Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Hepburn, along with a passenger, 37-year-old Felicia Carr of Arlington, were both wearing seatbelts. Pagent was not.
Speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
