Thomas Michael Hayes, 26 — accused of four crimes against young, local girls — was indicted Monday by a Fairfax County grand jury. He's now facing a possible 35 years in prison.
Police believe he exposed himself to at least three Chantilly girls, April 8 and 9, in the Greenbriar and Brookfield communities and assaulted two of them. Hayes, of 8604 Sanderling Drive in Manassas, is charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with children and one count of aggravated sexual battery.
After receiving three separate reports of a bicycle-riding flasher exposing himself to five girls total in a two-day period, police investigated and, on April 10, arrested Hayes.
On May 24, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Judge Jane Delbridge certified Hayes' cases to the grand jury. He's slated to enter a plea, July 29, in Circuit Court.
