The Centreville Community Foundation (CCF) is sponsoring the annual Centreville Fourth of July festivities. Fireworks will be held at Centreville High School on Thursday, July 4, around 9 p.m. But the fun begins at 7:30 p.m. with live entertainment, including patriotic music, and pizza, drinks, cotton candy and sno cones will be on sale.
The CCF fireworks committee is chaired by Bryan Hunt of Bryan Hunt, CPA, Bill Harvey of Harvey Insurance Agency and Jim Intibar of Dulles Minuteman Press.
The major corporate sponsor of the fireworks is Carteret Mortgage, which donated $5,000. The Lawless and Crossett families donated $1,000 in memory of Rachel Crossett, and other businesses have also made pledges for the event. However, much more is needed to help defray the cost of the fireworks, so everyone attending will be asked to donate, too. Or send contributions to CCF, P.O. Box 1813, Centreville, VA 20120.
