<lst> The Washington Convention Centers hosts the 41st Annual Washington Boat Show. The show, featuring over 400 boats of all types, runs Feb. 14-18. Tickets are $9 for adults, $4 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and younger.

<lst>A tradition since 1797, the Alexandria George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee will present the George Washington Birthnight Banquet & Ball, Feb. 16, 6:30 p.m.-midnight, at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, 134 N. Royal St., Alexandria. The banquet menu includes soup, roasted rockfish, roast of beef, duck confiture, potato balls, pickled vegetables, and root vegetables a la creme. <lst>The Jazz and Tap Dance Festival is the most celebrated and exciting collaboration of the Washington area's finest jazz and tap dance companies. The performance will be held at the Annandale campus of Northern Virginia Community College, Ernst Cultural Theatre on Saturday, February 23 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, February 24 at 4 p.m.

This year's festival will feature six professional dance companies from the Washington area, each exhibiting their own unique and diverse style of jazz and tap dance. The seven companies include Center Stage of Fairfax, Dancin' Unlimited of Alexandria, Jam Crew of Washington, Jazdanc.dc of Washington, and Motion Mania of Rockville.
