Weichert Realtors in Great Falls has announced that its sales associate Thomas Simonetti generated the highest new homes dollar volume in the region in October. In addition the entire sales team produced the highest resale dollar volume in Northern Virginia.

Denise Thurner of Weichert’s Tysons/Vienna office generated the highest new-homes dollar volume in the region in October. Sue Huckaby of Weichert, Realtors’ McLean Center office has been honored for being number one in highest dollar volume and highest resale dollar volume. In addition, the company’s McLean/Dolley Madison sales team generated the most resale listings in the region in October.

Thomas R. Bloom, director of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, was awarded the Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive, the highest level award that can be bestowed on a civil servant in the federal government. Bloom is a resident of Great Falls. Bloom has transformed financial management within the Department of Defense and redirected resources toward providing responsive, professional finance and accounting services for the people who defend the USA.

The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties announced its award winners during a dinner at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner. The following local companies were honored: Cassidy & Pinkard/Irving Group of Tysons for Best Corporate Marketing; Atlantic Realty Companies of Vienna for Best Speculative Low Rise Building; James G. Davis Construction Corporation of McLean for Best Speculative Mid-Rise Building.
