<lst>West*Group, a local real estate development company, recently donated hundreds of new books and computer equipment to Westgate Elementary School as part of its annual "Wish List" pogram. The "Wish List" program is one of many annual programs that exist between West*Group and Westgate Elementary as part of their mutually supportive business/school partnership.

<lst>Northern Virginia Friends School at 2854 Hunter Mill Road in Oakton will host a number of open houses this fall at the new site on Hunter Mill Road just north of the intersection with Route 123 in Oakton. Families will have an opportunity to tour new classroom spaces and learn about the interior and exterior planning and the school's educational philosophy.

A weekend open house from 4-5:30 p.m. will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8.

First-Class Reunions (FCR) is in the process of locating alumni for the remainder of the 2002 reunion season. Alumni should contact FCR at 888-327-1984 or visit www.fcreunions to update their information. The following high-school reunions are being planned for the fall of 2002. The 10-year reunion of the Class of 1992 of Annandale High School will take place on Friday, Nov. 29, at Hyatt Fair Lakes in Fairfax. The 10-year reunion of the Class of 1992 of Herndon High School will take place on Friday, Nov. 29, at Hyatt Dulles in Herndon. The 15-year reunion of the Class of 1987 of Oakton High School will take place on Friday, Nov. 29, at the Sheraton Premiere in Vienna. For more information, call 703-425-7400.

Members of the Madison High School band will make available the 2002 White House holiday ornament, celebrating the 1902 Roosevelt restoration of the White House. The East Room's chandeliers were the inspiration for the centerpiece of this year's ornament. The Oakton High School Band Boosters are holding a citrus sale of navel oranges, ruby red grapefruit and Sunburst tangerines. Orders placed by Wednesday, Dec. 4, will be available for pickup at the school on Saturday, Dec. 14. Order forms are available from Oakton Band students or the Web site www.oaktonbands.com or by calling 703-242-2240.

The Great Falls Elementary School Community Service Club (CSC) prepared 50 bag lunches for the Embry Rucker Community Shelter. CSC coordinator Diana Trent, her daughter Melissa and CSC members Victoria and Oliva Guzzardo delivered the lunches to the shelter. The CSC is planning to participate in helping with the Reston Interfaith Thanksgiving Holiday Food Baskets 2002 assistance program. The Embry Rucker Shelter is a county shelter operated by Reston Interfaith Inc., which provides temporary housing and support services to homeless individuals and families. The CSC is an after-school program made up of 31 kindergarten through sixth-grade students and parent volunteers working together on projects to help others.

Sean Dunaway, the son of Steven Dunaway of McLean and Deborah Best of McLean has been inducted into the National Honor Scoiety at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal. To be selected a student must have earned at least a grade point average of 3.5 after having attended Randolph-Macon for at least one semester and excel in the areas of leadership, scholarship, service and character.

David W. Johnston, the son of Donna J. Bogart of Vienna and David W. Johnston of Leesburg has been inducted into the German National Honor Society at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal. To be selected a student must mainain a grade point average of 3.6 or better in German over three semesters and have a least a 3 point grade average overall.
