“Personal Safety,” the popular crime prevention class for women, will be held Sept. 9, 11, 16 and 18 from 7-10 p.m. at the Vienna community Center, located at 120 Cherry St. S.E. The Vienna Parks and Recreation Department’s fall co-ed softball league begins play Sept. 9. Games will be played on weeknights at Vienna’s Southside Park. The registration fee of $400 per team includes 14 regular-season double-header games, a postseason tournament, umpire fees, softballs, and awards. “Through the eyes of an artist,” featuring artist Janice Burns, will be presented by the Vienna Arts Society.
