Staff Sgt. William E. Studebaker of Frederick, Md., was recently assigned to Fairfax County and the surrounding areas as the new Air Force recruiter. He visits five high schools and one community college. Besides meeting with high-school students, Studebaker is available to meet with parents, counselors, principals and civic leaders.
He is a graduate of the Air Force Recruiting School near San Antonio, Texas, where he was trained in various areas of study, including the classification system, testing and enlistment processing procedures, and public speaking. He was selected for the special course and recruiting duty with an outstanding Air Force record. Prior to Staff Sgt. Studebaker’s assignment here, he was stationed with the 92nd Aircraft Generation Squadron, Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., as an aircraft hydraulic systems technician.
Civilians Daniel Cooper, Christopher McCook, Joshua Bosworth, Jason Kessler, and Parker Ramdell, all of Vienna, recently participated in the U.S. Naval Academy’s week-long summer seminar program in Annapolis, MD. During the program, they were introduced to academy life through a regimen of academics, physical training, intramural sports, sailing, and seamanship, as well as leadership training and social activities. Cooper and Ramsdell are currently attending James Madison High School, McCook is currently attending McLean High School, Bosworth is currently attending Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, and Kessler is currently attending Flint Hill School.
