<b>ARMED ROBBERY</b>
<b>2900 S. Glebe Road.</b> At approximately 8:47 a.m. on Aug. 12, the subject entered the business carrying a large knife. The subject demanded that the clerk, a 40-year-old female, come out to the front counter. The clerk refused, so the subject opened the cash register himself. The subject then left the business with an undetermined amount of cash and was last seen riding a silver 10-speed bicycle toward Mount Vernon Road. The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt, black pants, and a dark-colored mask.
<b>300 N. Thomas St.</b> At approximately 11 p.m. on Aug. 9, the first victim, a 38-year-old male, had just parked his vehicle when two subjects grabbed him. One subject struck the victim with a pistol in the back of the head. The subjects took jewelry and an undetermined amount of cash from the first victim. The second victim, a 24-year-old male, observed the robbery and attempted to help the first victim when he was also hit on the head with a pistol. The subjects are described as Hispanic males in their late teens or early 20s with short, dark hair. The subjects were last seen wearing light clothing.
<b>ROBBERY</b>
<b>1600 N. Wilson Blvd.</b> At approximately midnight on Aug. 10, the victim, a female, was attempting to leave work with a friend when the subject pulled her out of the car and began beating her. The friend of the victim immediately summoned police; however, the subject fled before police arrived. The subject stole a backpack and an undetermined amount of cash. Officers later took a subject into custody in connection with another incident who turned out to be a suspect in the robbery. The suspect was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and robbery.
<b>RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY</b>
<b>4700 N. Henderson Road.</b> At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 6, an unknown subject entered the victim's unlocked back porch and used a power saw to remove a portion of a cabinet that was on the porch.
<b>BREAKING AND ENTERING</b>
<b>200 S. Carlin Springs Road.</b> Sometime between 10:39 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 2:42 p.m. on Aug. 10, unknown subject(s) entered a school and painted on the walls of several classrooms, rummaged through several desks, and damaged numerous computers. The point of entry was unknown.
<b>COMMERCIAL BURGLARY</b>
<b>2800 Clarendon Blvd.</b> Sometime between 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 11:43 a.m. on Aug. 13, an unknown subject broke into the store. Nothing appeared to be missing from the store.
<b>4800 Columbia Pike.</b> At 2:50 a.m. on Aug. 10, the manager of a retail store contacted police to report a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned that one subject was still inside the store, while the other had fled on foot. Upon arriving on the scene, a K-9 officer observed and stopped a subject in the area of the store. The store manager positively identified the subject as one of the suspects in the burglary. The K-9 officer then searched the store and found the second subject hiding in the ceiling. The subjects were caught before anything was stolen. Both suspects were arrested and charged with burglary and attempted grand larceny.
<b>2900 S. Glebe Road.</b> Sometime between 8:20 p.m. on Aug. 10 and 7:40 a.m. on Aug. 11, an unknown subject entered a health club and stole an undetermined amount of cash and numerous free entry passes. The point of entry is unknown.
<b>5100 S. Eighth Road.</b> Sometime between 8:25 a.m. on Aug. 9 and 9:45 a.m. on Aug. 10, an unknown subject entered an apartment rental office and stole various pieces of electronic equipment and a power saw. There were no signs of forced entry.
