<sh>Child Safety Check
<bt>More than 85 child safety seats were installed or checked for proper installation during an inspection at 102 Elden St. on Sunday, Aug. 3, police reported. The checkpoint at the Nationwide Insurance Company was conducted by Herndon Police, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, Herndon Police Citizens Support Team and members of Reston Interfaith.
<sh>Drunk Drivers Nabbed
<bt>Four individuals were arrested for driving while intoxicated by the Herndon Police Department and the Fairfax County Police Department during an Aug. 2 crackdown on drunk driving, authorities said. Officers from both departments, in cooperation with the Fairfax Detoxification Center, conducted a sobriety checkpoint and sobriety patrol.
