Dale E. Thompson of Alta Loma, Calif. and Sandra L. Thompson of Sterling announce the engagement of their daughter Sara Patton Thompson to Jason William Wenrich. Wenrich is the son of William N. and Mary R. Wenrich of Herndon.
The bride-to-be is a 1996 graduate of Herndon High School and a 1999 graduate of Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Va., where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in English, Linguistics and Speech. She is currently employed with Splash Aquatics in Sterling.
The groom is also a 1996 graduate of Herndon High School and a 1999 graduate of Mary Washington College. He received a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Business Administration and Economics, graduating magna cum laude with Final Honors. He is currently working towards a Master of Science degree in Economics and is employed as an economist with the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C.
A June 2 garden wedding and reception will take place at the historic Elkridge Furnace Inn, Elkridge, Md. Following a honeymoon trip to Ireland, the couple will reside in Leesburg.
