<bt>Richard Lee Lasseter of Reston died Friday April 19 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Richard was born Dec. 17, 1948 to Lillian and James Lasseter in Minneapolis, Minn. He graduated from Olathe High School in Olathe, Kan. in 1966 and received a bachelor of science degree in Mathematics in 1978 and a master of science degree in Mathematics in 1984 from Pittsburg State University in Kansas. Lasseter was employed at BDM Corporation for 14 years and at Quantum Research International for the last four years as a senior analyst.
He is survived by his wife Tamara of Reston and his father James of Spring Hill, Kan. He also leaves behind his brothers, Jerry of Olathe, Kan., James of Topeka, Kan. and Dean of Warsaw, Ind. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian and sister Donna.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon. Funeral services and interment will take place in Kansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Siamese Cat Rescue Center, 1025 Meander Run, Locust Dale, VA 22948; the Special Purpose Fund/Dept. 60053, Department of Transplantation Services, Washington Hospital Center, 110 Irving Street, NW, Room 3D-3I, Washington, DC 20010; or the American Heart Association, earmark funds for stroke or defibrillator research, 7203 Poplar Street, Annandale, VA 22003.
