Grand Jury Indicts Fair Oaks Teen

A Fairfax County grand jury on Monday indicted an 18-year-old Fair Oaks girl charged with carjacking, abduction, robbery and malicious wounding. She is Nyquie Renee Hall of 12771 Alder Woods Drive and, if convicted, she could receive as much as life in prison.

Police say that, on Feb. 21, a 28-year-old Reston woman offered a ride to an acquaintance — a 17-year-old Reston girl — and Hall, the acquaintance's friend. When the three arrived at their destination, the Dulles Hyatt Hotel in Herndon, the driver exited the car to let Hall out of the back seat.

But once Hall got out, say police, she allegedly hit the driver in the head with a wrench. According to police, the two teen-agers then reportedly robbed the victim, drove her to Haymarket and left her on the side of the road.

The victim flagged down a passing car, and police were then called. She was treated at Prince William Hospital for a laceration to her head. Meanwhile, police broadcast a lookout for the suspects, and Reston officers found them — still in the car — on Plaza America Drive in Reston.

Police arrested and charged both girls with the same crimes. The 17-year-old was held in the Juvenile Detention Center until her court appearance was scheduled. Hall is still being held without bond in the Adult Detention Center.

Last Wednesday, April 10, in General District Court, Judge Lorraine Nordlund certified Hall's case to the grand jury. Then on Monday, April 15, the grand jury indicted her. She's scheduled for a jury trial, May 22, in Circuit Court.
