Police Seek Flasher of Chantilly Girls

Fairfax County police are looking for a white, bicycle-riding man in his 20s who's exposed himself this week to five young girls in the Chantilly area. One of the incidents happened in Greenbriar, and two were in Brookfield.

* The first occurred Monday, around 3:15 p.m., in the area of Pennsboro and Ellendale drives in Brookfield. Two Chantilly girls, 12 and 13, were walking down a path when they heard a bicycle approaching them from behind.

They turned around and saw a man bicycling toward them. Police say he was holding his exposed penis and appeared to be masturbating. He spoke briefly to the girls and continued riding past them. He was described as white, in his mid-20s, 5 feet 9 inches and 120-150 pounds.

He had blue or green eyes, dark-brown short curly hair and a slight amount of facial hair. He wore a light-colored hat, tan shorts and a white T-shirt. His bicycle was large and dark blue or black.

* About an hour later, around 4:15 p.m., police believe the same man exposed himself to and sexually assaulted two teen-age girls behind the 14100 block of Madonna Lane in Greenbriar. The girls, 13 and 14, both of Chantilly, were walking on a bike path which runs north and south behind Majestic and Madonna lanes.

They noticed a man sitting on a bicycle on the pathway behind Majestic Lane, but kept walking. They crossed a creek and again noticed the same man on the pathway behind Madonna Lane. He tried to engage them in conversation, but the girls continued walking away from him.

Police say the man then rode his bicycle behind the 14-year-old girl and grabbed her buttocks. Then, say police, he rode his bicycle in front of the 13-year-old and stopped. The girl noticed that he was exposing his penis. The man then grabbed the 13-year-old between her legs and rode away. The girls were not injured.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20s, with brown hair and brown eyes. He wore brown khaki pants, a white T-shirt with a black symbol on the chest area and a dark baseball cap. Patrol officers and a helicopter unit checked the area for the man, but were unable to find him.

* The third incident occurred Tuesday, around 3:30 p.m., on Lees Corner Road near Fulmer Drive in the Brookfield area. A 13-year-old Chantilly girl was walking home when she noticed a man on a bike path.

He attempted to strike up a conversation with her and, when she looked at him, she saw that his pants zipper was down, the waist of his pants was open and he was holding his penis in his hand. The girl ran to a friend's house and got a rode home; she then immediately told her father what had occurred.

Police were called and again searched for the man, to no avail. He is described as white, 20-30, 5 feet 8 inches and 150 pounds. He had brown hair, brown eyes and a beard. He wore a red or blue T-shirt, khaki pants and a khaki baseball cap. He was sitting on a bicycle described as being dark red with yellow lettering.

Police believe the same man may have been involved in all these incidents. Anyone with information about the incidents or the suspect is asked to call police at 703-691-2131 or Fairfax County Crime Solvers at 703-691-8888.
