HAVING A CHILD  with cancer is difficult enough. But it’s even tougher when parents must also worry about procuring health insurance, paying the medical expenses and keeping a roof over their family’s heads. Yet for now, that’s Rebecca and Jon D’Andrea’s reality. Daughter Rachel, 2 and a half, is battling neuroblastoma — a childhood cancer that, as yet, has no cure. Rocky Run Collects Money for Haiti

NORMALLY, MIDDLE-SCHOOL students save up their change to buy things for themselves. But at Rocky Run, students are bringing in whatever they can to help Haitian relief efforts.
From Jan. 28-Feb. 26, the school is holding a Help for Haiti Change Drive, and anyone who wants to participate is welcome. Actually, Rocky Run already had a fund-raiser planned, well before the earthquake in Haiti. Read more...
