Weather permitting, the Route 28 (Sully Road/Centreville Road) and Route 29 interchange ramps will have nighttime closures Wednesday night, July 31; Thursday night, Aug. 1 and Sunday night, Aug. 4 through Thursday night, Aug. 8 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night for paving, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs. Ramp traffic will be detoured as follows:
• Northbound Route 28 Ramp to Northbound and Southbound Route 29 (to Fairfax and Gainesville): Northbound Route 28, ramp to Braddock Road (Route 620)/Walney Road (Route 657), westbound Braddock Road, ramp to southbound Route 28 and southbound Route 28 back to the ramps to northbound and southbound Route 29
• Southbound Route 28 Ramp to Northbound Route 29 (to Fairfax): Southbound Route 28 and Machen Road (Route 5401) back to northbound Route 29
• Southbound Route 28 Ramp to Southbound Route 29 (to Gainesville): Southbound Route 28 and Machen Road back to southbound Route 29
• Northbound Route 29 Ramp to Northbound Route 28 (to Dulles Airport): Northbound Route 29 and Old Centreville Road (Route 898) back to northbound Route 28
• Northbound Route 29 Ramp to Southbound Route 28 (to Manassas): Northbound Route 29 and Old Centreville Road back to southbound Route 28
• Southbound Route 29 Ramp to Northbound Route 28 (to Dulles Airport): Southbound Route 29 and Machen Road back to northbound Route 28
• Southbound Route 29 Ramp to Southbound Route 28 (to Manassas): Southbound Route 29 and Machen Road back to southbound Route 28
