Officer First Class Brian Hungarter of the Fairfax County Police Department is the new dedicated lead traffic enforcement officer at McLean District Station. Hungarter joins the department’s 113-person staff, including 90 sworn officers, eight auxiliary officers, and 15 civilians (police citizen aides, crossing guards, a crime analyst, administrative staff, and volunteers) with sixteen years of law enforcement background, eight with FCPD. He will concentrate on enforcing traffic regulations to improve pedestrian safety, control traffic flow during peak hours, and respond to events.
