The Lamb Center (TLC), a nonprofit, daytime drop-in center for the homeless, is in urgent need of food, supplies and clothing for its guests. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Here are the most-needed items this month:
* Supplies: Bath towels, 13-gallon trash bags with drawstrings (unscented only; they’re used for laundry); small bars of soap (travel-sized); sturdy, 9” paper plates (no Styrofoam); sturdy, disposable 16-ounce bowls (no Styrofoam); disposable heavy-duty cutlery; and laundry detergent.
* Clothing: TLC’s clothes closet is almost out of the following items for men: Men’s jeans (30-38” waist); men’s and women’s sweatpants, all sizes; men’s sweatshirts (M-XXL); men’s belts (30-48”); lightweight socks (black and white); and men’s sneakers (sizes 8-13). Except for the socks, lightly used clothes are fine.
Anyone who’d like to organize a clothing drive for these items may contact Marisa Alonso, development manager, at marisayalonso@thelambcenter.org.
All donations may be delivered to The Lamb Center at 3160 Campbell Drive in Fairfax, Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; and Saturday, 9-11 a.m. (Donations cannot be accepted outside of these hours).
