The Lamb Center in Fairfax City is a nonprofit, daytime drop-in center for people experiencing homelessness. And a significant part of its operation is providing its guests with nutrition, including two meals – breakfast and lunch – daily. But it urgently needs the community’s help to do so.
During the past fiscal year, which ended June 30, The Lamb Center had a COVID-19-related grant from Fairfax County that funded much of its food-pantry purchases. Since that funding has now run out, it’s working to identify other sources to cover these purchases.
But in the meantime, the Lamb Center is asking area residents and organizations for help in filling its pantry.
