“When thinking of who made an impact for the field of volunteer engagement, I chose to nominate Susan for this recognition because of her integrity, honesty and dedication to this important work,” said Corina Sadler, CVA, National Service Commissioner and Volunteer Resources Supervisor, City of Plano, Texas. “All the way from Texas I saw Susan’s beacon of light as a trainer and leader during 2020 and she didn’t stop there. She brought her expertise and humor to national conference stages and created safe spaces for professionals to gather and express what their challenges have been through Volunteer Fairfax programs.”
AL!VE will provide a cash award to Susan Sanow that she may use for professional development expenses, such as continuing education, books, resources, or to pursue an international professional credential for those who manage volunteers and/or programs.
