The Fairfax Resolves Chapter was given the Liberty Bell Award for having the best program of outreach to the local community in support of the Sons of the American Revolution for a chapter of its size. It also won the President General’s Cup, awarded annually to the chapter presenting the most complete program of activities for the previous year. The Fairfax Resolves win in this category made it the best, large SAR chapter in the nation for 2021-2022.
The SAR is the largest, male-lineage organization in the United States, comprised of descendants of patriots who participated in the American Revolution. It’s a nonprofit, nonpartisan entity dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and promoting education to future generations. The Fairfax Resolves Chapter conducts various patriotic, youth, public service and historic programs throughout the area.
