The 10th annual McLean Chocolate Festival, sponsored by the Rotary Club of McLean, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 24, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McLean Community Center. This is the Club's signature fundraising event. Proceeds will benefit many needs domestically and overseas.
A major sponsor is Mars. Inc., a multinational, global company headquartered in McLean, and the world's leading manufacturer of chocolate, chewing gum, mints, and fruity confections.
Due to Covid-19, no Festival was held last year. However, in 2020 the Festival drew almost 3,000 visitors. A similar number is expected for this year. In addition to vendors of chocolates and chocolate-themed items, the Festival will also feature a children's game room, Colonial chocolate-making demonstration by American Heritage, and over a dozen exhibitors, raffles of chocolate items, and a Rotary information booth.
