Military kids benefit from Honest Soul Yogathon
They were up all night doing all the yoga poses at Honest Soul Yoga in Kingstowne as they put on the 2nd Annual 24-Hour Yogathon on November 15-16, along with presenting sponsor PenFed Credit Union. The event raised over $12,500 for “Our Military Kids,” a charitable organization that provides grants to children of deployed reservists and wounded veterans so these kids can stay involved in their favorite activities while dad or mom is away or healing. The event donation-based yoga classes scheduled every 90 minutes for a full 24-hour period beginning with a kick-off class Friday, Nov. 15, 6 p.m. and concluded on Saturday, Nov. 16, 6 p.m. In total the amount raised from the event will fund 42 grants for military children whose parent is deployed or recovering from the wounds of war. Honest Soul Yoga is so grateful to the many local sponsors, yoga teachers, and event attendees who helped make the day possible!
