Currently in his fourth term on the Fairfax City Council, Michael DeMarco announced Tuesday night that he won’t be seeking re-election next May. “I’ll remain in the City, but my focus will turn to the arts and entertainment area,” he said. Indeed, DeMarco and Josh Anderson are already hard at work on preparing Earp’s Ordinary on Main Street to become the City’s newest restaurant and live-entertainment venue.
After the announcement, Councilman Sang Yi thanked DeMarco for his long service to the City. Mayor David Meyer also expressed his appreciation, telling DeMarco his new venture “will let you use your gifts and talents in a new way, so all the best.”
