At its meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 6, the Woman’s Club of McLean honored 11 local women military veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. Each of the veterans offered details of her period of service. This was the first such event for the club.
In addition, Club President Kathryn Mackensen presented a check for $1,400 to the Wounded Warriors Transitional Housing Program at Vinson Hall, in McLean. www.mcleanwomansclub.org
