The Goddard Schools located in Chantilly, along with 15 other greater Washington, D.C. area locations, hosted weeklong Science Fairs during which the students participated in hands-on activities that included manipulating marshmallows, tarnishing pennies and experimenting with peeps. While The Goddard School’s curriculum incorporates STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) on a daily basis, the preschools’ Science Fairs offer children an opportunity to further immerse themselves in these subjects with play-based lesson plans.
