Hayfield Secondary School senior Ana Avila, right, was presented a $2,500 academic vocational scholarship by the Rotary Club of Alexandria at the organization’s June 5 meeting at Belle Haven Country Club. Avila, pictured with fellow scholarship recipient Sajell Avery of T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, was at the top of her class in Architecture Construction and Engineering and will pursue a degree in Construction Management at Virginia Tech in the fall.
