Every summer, children all over the county participate in Fairfax County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program. Why let kids have all the fun? For the third consecutive year, the Dolley Madison Library in McLean is letting adults get in on the act. The program, Adult Summer Reading Bingo, hopes to engage adult readers to visit and interact with the library more during the summer. Enticements to that end will include a grand prize gift basket that includes an Amazon FireHD8 tablet, library themed tote bag and socks, along with a reading themed coffee mug and tea.
Simply pick up a bingo card at the library, fill in the boxes and once you have bingo you can turn it in for a book sale coupon and entry into the gift basket drawing. In addition to the bingo card boxes including reading a specific type of book, there are also boxes that include attending a library program, using library’s online resources or following them on social media. Getting bingo couldn’t be easier. The Adult Summer Reading Bingo runs from June 15-Sept. 1.
