The right lane of southbound Route 28 at Air and Space Museum Parkway will be closed (weather permitting) Monday, July 16 to Monday, July 30 for pavement reconstruction, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The closure will run from just north of the Air and Space Museum Parkway interchange to just south of the interchange. The southbound collector-distributor road (the barrier-separated lanes to the right of the southbound Route 28 lanes) will be used as a temporary through lane in order to maintain four through lanes of southbound Route 28. The exit from southbound Route 28 to Air and Space Museum Parkway will remain open.
Drivers should expect delays, particularly during the morning and afternoon rushes, and are advised to use alternate routes.
