Shepherd’s Center of Oakton-Vienna to Host Caregivers Treat

The Shepherd's Center of Oakton-Vienna (SCOV) sponsors a free 4-hour "Treat" for caregivers each year.

This year's Caregivers Treat will be held at Vienna Baptist Church, 541 Marshall Rd, SW, Vienna, in the Fellowship Hall. It is co-sponsored by Arden Courts of Annandale and Fair Oaks and AARP. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and closing remarks are at 12:45 p.m. after a lunch. Caregivers of spouses, parents, or family members are invited to this free event.

A popular highlight is the in-chair massage.

Register from 9 - 9:30 and sit with other caregivers as you enjoy coffee, juice and snacks.

If your care receiver has passed, you are still welcome.

In-chair massages in another room begin at 9:30 and continue until 11:30.

Meet and share with other caregivers.

Get your blood pressure taken.

There are short presentations. Share your thoughts or questions at an interactive question and answer period.

The featured speaker is Bill Fralin, Elder Law Attorney, The Estate Planning and Elder Law Firm, who will speak on Estate Planning.

Cheryl Harlan will again lead fun relaxation exercises.

A lunch is provided by Arden Courts.
