As Democrats around the country rally to the newly-minted “Abolish ICE” movement, State Senator and congressional candidate Jennifer Wexton has been oddly silent. Wexton’s silence is a tacit admission of her support for Abolish ICE, an extreme view that would make our community less safe by giving safe harbor to dangerous criminals.
This is a fair assumption, given Wexton’s history of blind partisanship – voting with her party over 98 percent of the time in the General Assembly. And, given Wexton’s support for Nancy Pelosi, the blind partisanship will undoubtedly continue.
We don’t need an extremist representing us in Congress, no matter how much they try to mask it with silence.
