Bonnie Haukness, Board Member Reston Historic Trust: “We moved here when I was five. The lake was being filled. They brought pump trucks daily because the tributaries did not feed fast enough. My brother and I spent hours a day on the lake whether on the ice or swimming. My father used to swim to the dam and back.”
