Fairfax firefighters (Dunn Loring station) fought a fire at the Fairfax County Heritage Park at Wolftrap Road and George Washington Road in Vienna on Friday, April 13. The fire burned for approximately four hours, with crews remaining on the scene to put out hotspots that reignited. An unidentified firefighter said that “the dry conditions and winds allowed the fire to spread rapidly and made it difficult to contain.”
