What’s Needed

Hurricane Harvey Needed Supply List:

20” box fans, 25’ and 50’ outdoor extension cords, 4 cycle motor oil , wheelbarrows, large black trash bags, gloves for outdoor use, face masks, brooms, paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, plastic utensils, mops, Windex, rubber gloves, water testing kits, pet food — dog and cat, rubber boots, first aid kits, flash lights, bleach, batteries — all sizes, blankets, shampoo/body wash, soap, bug spray, toothbrush/toothpaste, new socks for men and women and children, and new underwear for men, women and children.

KW Cares Disaster Response Team is mobilizing equipment, supplies and volunteers, from all over the country, for transport to areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey. A Keller Williams agent in the Old Town Alexandria office, Jon Benya, has rented a 53-foot truck and is driving to the KW Cares Command Center in Houston, filled with donations to aid the relief efforts. Keller Williams is opening its offices to Alexandria and the surrounding areas, to drop off donations to help fill the truck. More than 195 agents in the Alexandria office are reaching out to their communities to provide an opportunity for those who want to be involved.

The KW Cares Command Center in Houston is presently being manned by more than 500 Keller Williams agents, receiving, organizing and scheduling deliveries until next week when Mega Relief efforts begin as part of KW’s Mega Camp, national convention. Thousands of agents are expected to be arriving to further organizational efforts.

Donations must be dropped off at the office by noon on Friday, Sept. 8, at 1701 Duke St,, Suite 100, Alexandria.
