11180 Lee Highway / Navy Federal Credit Union – On Feb. 23 at 1:54 p.m. employees reported that a male subject had entered the credit union, approached a teller, and presented a note demanding money. The teller surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left the credit union on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect implied he had a weapon, but no weapon was displayed. The suspect is described as white, 28 to 30 years old, five feet eight to five feet ten inches tall, with short hair and dark- framed glasses. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a white ball cap, a white shirt with a long gray shirt underneath, and blue jeans. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
Chain Bridge Road / North Street – On Feb. 18 at 8:09 p.m. an officer investigating a traffic crash determined that one of the drivers involved was intoxicated. A 58-year-old Springfield man was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and his bond was set at $3,000.
10412 Sager Avenue / Parking Lot – On Feb. 18 at 3:00 a.m. the victim, a 22-year-old Fairfax area woman, reported that while sitting in a vehicle with a male acquaintance a female subject known to them had pulled her from the vehicle by her hair and had struck her in the face. The suspect then left the area in a vehicle. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
10700 Block of West Drive / Parking Lot – On Feb. 17 at 9:01 p.m. the victim, a 25-year-old Burke area man, reported that about 1:30 a.m. he had been assaulted by two unknown male subjects who pushed him to the ground and attacked him, inflicting cuts and abrasions. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
10950 Fairfax Boulevard / Verizon – On Feb. 17 at 6:08 p.m. employees reported that an unknown male subject had extensively damaged the iPhone display in an attempt to steal the iPhones. When an employee yelled at him the suspect ran out of the store. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
4200 Block of Ardmore Place – On Feb. 17 at 3:08 p.m. the resident reported that he had received a telephone call from a male subject claiming to represent the power company and instructing him to pay his overdue bill immediately or his service would be cut off. The resident contacted a relative who called the utility and learned that the resident’s payments were up to date.
3600 Block of Embassy Lane – On Feb. 14 at 3:17 p.m. the resident reported that sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. unknown person(s) had rummaged through her unlocked parked vehicle and stolen a suitcase containing assorted clothing.
